I’m all for what Uncle B said above, though it’s not exactly in keeping with the subject of the article. Prices of computer equipment continue to go down, but an entry level system can still be prohibitively expensive for some below the poverty line, with or without Microsoft Windows installed. Donations can actually help those in need, so donate away. I’ve helped donate a few old systems to a local boys’ home… after installing Ubuntu on all of them.

It’s great to start from nothing and become successful later in life. But to have an absolutely miserable f-you attitude like that of Griven above would tend to greatly diminish the positive aspects of one’s success story. That attitude is certainly not inspiring in the least.

Someone shoot Uncle B. It’s pathetic people like yourselves that ruin the U.S. economy. Give, give, give to the less fortunate and f*ck ourselves. How about this…. Get out, get to work, learn a trade, learn to grow your own damn food, learn to read, think, and be alive instead of being dead weight to the rest of society. Learn to learn! Be self sufficient and self supportive.I came from a shi**y home with no damn money and nothing but hand me downs for clothing, never had anything new. Now? I take care of myself, run my own business and have half my family (10 of us) up my arse about money, in which I tell them no. I made a choice. Everyone has that option. Screw the less fortunate and quit feeling so damn sorry for them or yourself. Noone felt sorry for me you fu*king degenerate moron.
